Science Exploration Series: Falling for a Star - Gravity lessons from footballs to orbiting stars

-

Location: 100 Jordan Hall of Science (DVT)

Keith Davis, Ph.D., the director of the Digital Visualization Theater, will take visitors on a tour of gravity in the universe. He'll illustrate how a ball thrown on a football field can teach us how satellites stay in orbit and binary stars fall for billions of years but never hit. Join us for a tour of the universe through the eyes of gravity and learn to see a falling ball with new eyes.

Free and open to the public.
