Thank you to all the fans and guests who were at Notre Dame this past Saturday for the game and who responded so well to the request to evacuate the Stadium (twice) due to the severe weather in the area. During the two weather delays, there were 335 lightning strikes within a 10 mile radius of campus. Two of the strikes each measured seven tenths of a mile from campus. The photo highlighted above depicts the one strike that occurred directly west of campus. The number of strikes and their close proximity to campus serve as a reminder of the importance to heed weather warnings and the call to seek shelter.
We are proud of how our fans and guests responded on Saturday to the adverse weather conditions!
