The Office of Campus Safety & Event Management is pleased to announce that Ryan Spurr has been appointed Assistant Director of Game Day Operations and Events, effective August, 2018.
Ryan served as an Event Specialist for the Office of Event Management from June 2017-July 2018. In this role, he was responsible for cultivating partnerships, planning, and logistics for high-end events in the new hospitality spaces at Notre Dame Stadium.
From 2014 to 2017, Ryan served as the Director of Team Operations for the Tampa Bay Rowdies, a professional soccer team in the Tampa Bay Area. There, he was responsible for logistics for the club ranging from Team Operations to United Soccer League regulations. In addition, he oversaw logistics for the club while outside the Tampa Bay Area, including regular season matches throughout the United States and International Preseason Tours to three countries.
Prior to his experiences in Tampa Bay, Ryan spent time with Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Event Management Team, coordinating major events such as the Drew Brees Passing Academy, Pop Warner Super Bowl, Walt Disney’s Pro Soccer Classic, Under Armour’s All-American Game Training Camp, and the Old Spice Classic.
Ryan is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, receiving a Bachelor Degree in Sport Management. He continued his education at the University of Louisville, where he earned a Masters Degree in Sport Administration.
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Ryan currently resides in Mishawaka and loves getting to know his new home in Michiana.
