Our friends in Ireland gave us a short list of restaurants to enjoy while in Dublin. While there are many great restaurants, here are a few recommendations.


FIRE Restaurant – Dublin’s premier Steakhouse serving only the best of Irish meats and fish.
Located in central Dublin beside the Lord Mayor’s Residence. Built in 1891, the open plan kitchen houses the first wood burning oven in Ireland. To accommodate and welcome the traveling Notre Dame fans, FIRE will also open for dinner on Sunday September 2nd outside of its normal opening hours.

Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, Ireland’s only two star Michelin Restaurant.
Situated beside the 5 star Merrion Hotel in Dublin city center, the cuisine is contemporary Irish with classical roots. Having featured in everything from the Irish Times to the New York Times, it is renowned as one of the best restaurants in Ireland and is also internationally acclaimed.

Johnnie Fox’s, Traditional Irish Food in a traditional Irish surrounding
Situated in Glencullen on top of the Dublin mountains, Johnnie Fox’s is one of Ireland’s oldest and most famous traditional Irish pubs. Located approximately 25-35 minutes drive from Dublin City center.

Anglers Rest – Seafood Restaurant within the grounds of the beautiful Phoenix Park
Just a 15-minute drive from Dublin City center, this landmark establishment in the seclusion of the Strawberry Beds – next door to the Phoenix Park – has a history that stretches back to Cromwellian times and the famous patriot Michael Collins, and has long been considered the favorite watering hole of anglers fishing along the banks of the adjacent River Liffey.
