2016 Blue Gold Spring Game

As part of an ongoing commitment to safety and security, the University of Notre Dame will continue to enforce its policy on bags and other items fans can bring into its football stadium on game days. Notre Dame strongly encourages fans to NOT bring ANY type of bags to the stadium.

We are taking every possible step to ensure minimal disruption or delay to stadium guests. Personal property and privacy will be respected at all times. We appreciate our fans’ cooperation and patience.

Football Saturdays at Notre Dame are among the most pure and enjoyable experiences in all of sports. The University works to keep the parking lots and tailgating areas entertaining and enjoyable for all Irish fans and visitors.

In order to create a safe and fan friendly environment for all Notre Dame stadium guests, ALL bags are subject to inspection at each of the gates upon entrance.

Backpacks, duffel bags, and tote bags are NOT permitted in the stadium.

Diaper & Medical bags, blankets, coats, and ponchos.

Prohibited Items

When planning for your visit, please note the following is NOT permitted inside Notre Dame Stadium:

  • Backpacks, duffle bags, or tote bags
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Alcohol
  • Food or beverage
  • Smoking, tobacco or e-cigarettes (St. Joseph County ordinance)
  • Large containers/coolers
  • Cans or glass bottles
  • Opened water bottles or other drinking containers
  • Stadium chairs or seat backs unless needed for medical reasons with documentation
  • The throwing of any object at any time
  • Signs or banners
  • Strollers
  • Artificial noise makers
  • Selfie Sticks

Please Note: The University prohibits any use of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), or Drones, on campus. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) prohibits the operation of any UAS within a 5 mile radius of an airport. Given the University’s proximity to the South Bend International Airport (SBN), any use of UAS on campus is strictly prohibited.

  • Cell phones and pagers

Please Note: Cameras, camcorders, and umbrellas are allowed as long as they do not compromise the view of others.

Other Rules to Note

  • While on the campus of Notre Dame, selling of items is not permitted.
  • Tailgating and alcohol is prohibited on the central part of campus.
  • Safety and security rules will be strictly enforced and violators may be removed for failing to comply. Future ticket privileges may be revoked.

ND-Texas Football Game

Moved to Sept. 4

The University of Notre Dame’s 2016 season-opening football game against Texas at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas, has been moved to an exclusive, primetime window on Sunday, Sept. 4.

Originally slated for Saturday, Sept. 3, the game now will be played at night. The exact kickoff time and television details will be announced in weeks to come.

“A game of the magnitude of Notre Dame-Texas, played on the opening weekend of the college football season, deserves a special place on the Labor Day sports calendar.

Spring Ball

The Fighting Irish are already preparing to take on the Texas Longhorns on September 3, 2016. The match up will take place at Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas. The Irish defeated the Longhorns at home last season 38-3. A rivalry that began in 1913, the teams have faced each other eleven times with the Irish defeating the Longhorns nine of those eleven meetings. Get your first taste of Spring Ball 2016 here before the Blue Gold Game, Saturday, April 16 at 12:30 pm ET at Notre Dame Stadium. Blue Gold tickets will go on sale Thursday, March 10th at 8:30am.

2016 National Signing Day

On February 3rd, Fighting Irish head coach Brian Kelly will hold his signing day press conference at 1 p.m. EST in the Isban Auditorium of the Guglielmino Athletics Complex, which will also be carried live for free on UND.com and WatchND

The “Fighting Irish Board” will go live on UND.com at 7 a.m. EST with all-day coverage of up-to-the minute announcements of official letters of intent. Notre Dame’s live signing day show goes on the air at 7 a.m. at WatchND with former Irish captain Joe Schmidt.

Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. This marks the inaugural event of a campus-wide Walk the Walk Week observance, during which students, faculty and staff have been asked to reflect on the values central to Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and the mission of Notre Dame.

In a continuing effort to provide comprehensive and thorough security and in accordance with Major League Baseball directives, the Boston Red Sox have instituted the following procedures.

  • All persons, bags, and personal items are subject to inspection before entering Fenway Park. No bag or item larger than 16″×16″×8″ will be permitted inside the Park.
  • The following items are also prohibited: hard-sided coolers, cans, bottles (except sealed water bottles of 16 oz or less), glass containers of any kind, alcoholic beverages, illegal substances, firearms, noise-making devices, flag poles, selfie-sticks, sign poles, brooms (or any other similar props that may be dangerous or cause injury to other fans), knives, box cutters, tools of any kind (including Leathermen), or any item that could be used as a weapon, any commercial audio/visual equipment and any sign, costume, clothing or item that may be deemed offensive.
  • Umbrellas are allowed inside Fenway Park but may only be used during official rain delays.
  • Cameras and video cameras are permitted but cannot be used to reproduce the game and must not interfere with other fans’ enjoyment of the game.
    *Fans will NOT be able to store any prohibited items at Fenway Park.
  • Exiting and re-entering the Park is not permitted at any gate.
  • Smoking is prohibited in all areas of Fenway Park, including Yawkey Way.
  • Proper dress is required.
  • Any fan that directly or indirectly interferes with the enjoyment of the game will be promptly ejected from Fenway Park and may be subject to arrest and prosecution by the Boston Police. Fans are also reminded that anyone observed with offensive articles included signs, shirts, hats, etc. may be asked to remove/discard them.
  • Failure to comply with such a request will result in immediate ejection from the park. The Red Sox will continue to make every effort to ensure socially acceptable behavior in order to allow fans to enjoy the game in comfort.
  • Interfering or attempting to interfere with any balls in play or throwing any object onto the field is strictly prohibited and will result in ejection and/or prosecution.
  • All fans are expected to comply with Fenway Park’s Code of Conduct. Failure to do so may result in ejection from Fenway Park. The Boston Red Sox do not condone misbehavior of any kind.

Where to park

For midweek day games, the Boston Red Sox strongly encourage fans to take public transportation to Fenway Park.

In order to reduce traffic both before and after games, we recommend that you park in a lot or garage that corresponds to the route you take to Fenway.

For example, if you are driving in from the east of Fenway, please park to the east of Fenway. Refer to the map and charts below for parking suggestions and information.

Note: Meters on Beacon St. cost up to $22 starting at 6 p.m. on Red Sox game nights.

Parking fees range from hourly rates of $5 to game parking rates of $40+, depending on the location and capacity of the parking garage or lot.

The fine for parking a vehicle in the Fenway/Kenmore Residential Parking District during Fenway Park Events, unless said vehicle displays in the rear window a valid and current sticker as issued by the Transportation Department for the Fenway/Kenmore Residential District, shall be one hundred dollars and no cents ($100.00) for each such violation.

The Game Day parking map features all functioning Game Day parking lots

Accessible Parking: Accessible parking is located in the Bulla Lot, located off of Bulla Road, just west of Twyckenham Drive. Access the lot from Twyckenham Dr., then west onto Bulla Road. A valid state issued placard or license plate is required. Shuttles will provide accessible transportation to and from Gate 4 of the Joyce Center for patrons parking in this lot from 8:00 AM until 1 hour after the game. Please be aware that there could be a significant amount of wait time as the shuttles accommodate the mass exit of all patrons at the end of the game.

Bus Parking: Bus parking has moved from the area between Gate 8 and 10 of the Joyce Center to Innovation Park. From SR 933, turn east onto Angela Blvd, proceed past Eddy Street (you’ll see new construction on the right), past the Fairfield Inn and Eddy Street town-homes, and toward University’s Innovation Park building on your right hand side. It is immediately across the street from the University’s track and field facility. Please refer to the chart above to determine the parking fee for the game you will be attending. Bus parking for the 2015 season is available to purchase the day of the game. Parking passes for buses are not available to purchase in advance.

RV Parking: RV parking is located in and around the lots surrounding the Notre Dame Federal Credit Union. Access to these lots are from the south round-a-bout on Douglas Road, west to St. Joseph’s Drive, then north to the lots. Parking Services staff will cashier and assist with parking. Please refer to the chart above to determine the parking fee for the game you will be attending. RV parking for the 2015 season is available to purchase the day of the game. Parking passes for RVs are not available to purchase in advance.

White Field Shuttle Buses: Run to and from the lot beginning at 8:00 AM. At least one bus will run throughout the entire game. Post-game buses will run until all lines are gone. Please be aware that there could be a significant amount of wait time as the shuttles accommodate the mass exit of all patrons at the end of the game.

Parking Regulations

Overnight parking is prohibited in ALL Game Day parking lots.

All vehicles must vacate the parking lots three hours after the game’s conclusion. Any vehicles remaining will be towed.

Join Us for the Ultimate ND Fan Experience

The Notre Dame Experience will be open to the public from 10 am – 3 pm for Saturday’s home football game versus Wake Forest in the Joyce Fieldhouse (north dome). Admission is free to the interactive fan event. Our new games allow fans to emulate the Irish by participating in the 40-yard dash, vertical leap, obstacle course, QB challenge and more! Fans will have the opportunity to visit our Video Game Lounge, enjoy our Social Media Lounge or work their way through the other displays within the ND Experience for photo opportunities or collecting give-aways.

Throughout the day, there will be entertainment including an autograph session with former Notre Dame football players, Notre Dame videos and programming, and a visit by the Notre Dame cheerleaders and Leprechaun. Fans can enjoy concessions and drinks provided by Centerplate. The festivities will wrap up at 3:00 pm with the showing of the Notre Dame Football ™ pre-game show on NBC and then the live broadcast of the game.

The Irish are preparing to take the field in their final home game of the season at Notre Dame stadium against Wake Forest. Notre Dame is looking to finish a season undefeated and untied at Notre Dame Stadium for the 26th time and just the second since 1998.

28 Seniors and Graduate Students will be among those recognized before the start of the game this Saturday.

Thank you for a great season and a great 4 years of Notre Dame Football.

Wake Forest Pep Rally

Friday, November 13th at the North Dome of the Joyce Fieldhouse (North Dome)

A game weekend Friday night tradition—come out to the pep rally to cheer on the Fighting Irish as they prepare for their last home game of the 2015 season in South Bend and Senior Day against Wake Forest. The pep rally will be held Friday, November 13th at 5:45 PM at the Joyce Fieldhouse (North Dome).
