Recognizing that the history of Irish visual art may be less familiar than the Irish performing and literary arts, the Snite Museum has partnered with the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies to showcase the significant achievements of the artists in this exhibition. By combining paintings, prints, and photographs from the Museum's permanent collection with significant contributions from the Hesburgh Libraries' Rare Books & Special Collections, as well as with selected loans from the renowned collection of Patricia and John O'Brien, the Museum hopes to enrich visitors' understanding of integral aspects of Irish culture and heritage.
