Recognizing that the history of Irish visual art may be less familiar than the Irish performing and literary arts, the Snite Museum has partnered with the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies to showcase the significant achievements of the artists in this exhibition. By combining paintings, prints, and photographs from the Museum's permanent collection with significant contributions from the Hesburgh Libraries' Rare Books & Special Collections, as well as with selected loans from the renowned collection of Patricia and John O'Brien, the Museum hopes to enrich visitors' understanding of integral aspects of Irish culture and heritage. Taken together, the collections combine to create a landmark exhibition at the Snite Museum of Art.
This event is free and open to the public. Visit the Snite Museum of Art's Website for more info.
