Solar Power at Long Last

Is solar power a democratic equalizer, or a costly boondoggle? This talk covers the technical challenges, recent discoveries, and imminent future of solar cells. We will describe research at Notre Dame toward making solar power efficient, reliable, and cheap. We will see how world records are set and broken, and why solar power and political power are linked in surprising ways. Finally, we’ll bust a few myths and slaughter some sacred pork.
