The Irish Green, established in 2009, is a free and open to the public hospitality area on the south side of campus. Located directly behind the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center, the Irish Green offers a family friendly environment for fans to hang out, enjoy multiple food and drink vendors, and take in both live music and Notre Dame-oriented entertainment.
Throughout the weekend, the Irish Green is home for a spectrum of different opportunities. Multiple activities for the younger Irish fans like face painting, balloon twisting, and yard games make the Green an ideal family environment.
There will be weekly guests featured at the Irish Green and Notre Dame student body highlights like the Cheerleading squad and Glee Club will perform throughout the 2011 season. The fenced perimeter will allow Mom and Dad to put the traffic concerns of the parking lot behind them, grab a beer and some great food from any of our multiple vendors and participate in some of Notre Dame’s legendary traditions with the family.
