Kara Edwards was named an Officer Assistant in November 2017, working for Mike Seamon in the Office of Campus Safety and Event Management. Her responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day budgetary operations of the office and coordinating logistics for Campus Safety and Event Management events.
Beginning at the University in 2011, Kara worked in the athletic ticket office in a variety of roles including Financial Assistant, Assistant Director, and Associate Director. During her time in the ticket office Kara was primarily responsible for football season tickets, women's basketball (including the 2014 NCAA Women's Basketball Regional hosted by Notre Dame) as well as men's and women's soccer, the Baraka and Bengal Bouts, and Notre Dame Stadium Tours. She also worked with the ticket office management team to continuously improve ticketing strategies, systems and processes, and supervise game day ticketing operations and staff.
Edwards graduated from Purdue University in 2008 where she received Bachelor of Arts degrees in history and organizational leadership and supervision. In 2010, Edwards earned her master’s degree in sports management from Indiana University - Bloomington.
From 2008-09 Edwards completed an internship with the Notre Dame athletic ticket office. In 2010, Edwards became the Assistant Director of Ticket Operations at Indiana University. In April 2011 Edwards returned to Notre Dame as the financial assistant for ticketing and event marketing, assuming responsibility for ticketing of the Kids Club, baseball, softball and Notre Dame Stadium tours.
A native of Nappanee, Indiana, Kara currently resides in South Bend with her husband Kelsey.
