Leading the Fighting Irish
It is a distinct, unmistakable sound that can be heard all across campus just over two hours prior to kickoff on home game Saturdays.
The Notre Dame Bagpipe Band’s rendition of “Scotland the Brave” has become Notre Dame’s battle hymn in a way, as it is the song played to lead the Fighting Irish Football team into the Stadium to take on their opponent of the day.
The kilt clad group of fourteen who plays this song to clear the path from the Library to the gates of the Stadium begins tuning on Library Quad just after the Glee Club wraps up their performance! Below are the locations and times of their performances based on home game kickoff times!
|Game Times||Main Building||Library Quad|
|3:30 p.m.||11:30 a.m.||1:15 p.m.|
|7:30 p.m.||3:30 p.m.||5:15 p.m.|
Be sure to grab a spot early for the Player Walk along this route and you will hear the sounds of the Bagpipe Band leading the team!
