Autumn

Even a dreary, chilly, damp late fall day can’t dull the beauty of Notre Dame’s campus.

Rally on the Green

Thousands packed the Irish Green again this week for the traditional Friday night pep rally.

BC gameday 3

The Faithful

The Grotto is a must-see for game day visitors.

BC gameday 4

Explosive

We write captions for websites, so we haven’t a ghost of a chance of explaining how hydrogen, mixed with a little water can produce the reaction pictured here, part of a science demonstration at the new Jordan Hall.

Dr. Ken Dye Keeps his Focus

Not even stampeding cheerleaders can shake Notre Dame’s director of bands (left, wearing a black suit) from signaling the band to strike up the Notre Dame Victory March.

BC Gameday 6

The Toss

Captains Eric Olsen (55), Kyle McCarthy (28) and Jimmy Clausen (7) meet their Boston College counterparts at the 50-yard line. BC won the toss and elected to kick off.

BC Gameday 7

What Could’ve Been

Senior Punter Eric Maust, holding on an early field goal attempt, took a high snap to the house for a touchdown. The score was reversed on a holding penalty, but it’s still a very cool picture, don’t you think?

BC Gameday 8

Golden is thy Tate

Junior Golden Tate continued to perform despite the increased attention he receives from opposing secondaries, catching 11 passes for 136 yards and 2 touchdowns.

BC Gameday 9

Tate Redux

Tate got free along the Boston College sideline midway through the fourth quarter for a 36-yard touchdown reception that would stand as the game’s winning score.

BC Gameday 10

KLM and Slaughter

Defensive Lineman Kapron Lewis-Moore (89) and Cornerback Jamoris Slaughter (26) celebrate a big defensive play.
