This weekend, Notre Dame fans will have the opportunity to enjoy events in South Florida centered around the BCS National Championship game on Monday, January 7. The game features the Fighting Irish against defending national champion Alabama. Click here for the full events schedule.
On Saturday, January 5 the Discover Championship Fan Experience presented by Bud Light and Dr. Pepper will be open for fans from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. right on South Beach. Live bands, interactive games, zip line, contests, and Championship Trophy photo opportunities and much more.
At 7 p.m., the Notre Dame Pep Rally will hit the stage with the Notre Dame Marching Band, cheerleaders and the Leprechaun along with special Notre Dame guests including coaching legend Lou Holtz, Irish greats Joe Theismann, Tony Rice, Pat Terrell, Mike Golic Sr., and comedian Martin Short. Both events on Saturday are free and open to the public.
On Sunday, January 6, two official Notre Dame Masses will be offered. The InterContinental hotel in downtown Miami will host Mass at 10 a.m. with Rev. John Jenkins, C.S.C., celebrant and homilist. The Bonaventure Resort and Spa in Weston, FL will also offer a Mass for fans staying north of the city. Rev. Paul Kollman, C.S.C., celebrant and homilist. Both Masses are open to the public.
At 12 p.m. the Discover Championship Fan Experience presented by Bud Light and Dr. Pepper will again be open for fans till 8 p.m. A concert featuring Flo Rida will be held at 7 p.m. with opening acts at 6 p.m.
On game day, fans can head to the Bud Light Championship Game Day Fan Zone presented by AllState.
