The University of Notre Dame Marching Band will hold a rehearsal at Boston’s
Clemente Field on Friday, November 20. Rehearsal will begin at 12:00 PM, weather permitting, and is open to the public. Following rehearsal, the band will
hold a Q & A session with local high school students.
The Band of the Fighting Irish will perform at events across the city November
2021 as part of the University’s Shamrock Series football weekend. The Irish
host the Boston College Eagles at 7:30 pm Saturday at Fenway Park.
The marching band is comprised of nearly 380 students from across America
and overseas, representing the Colleges of Arts and Letters, Science, Business,
Architecture, and Engineering.
Dating back to 1845, the Notre Dame Band is the oldest college band in
continuous existence in the United States. The Band was the recipient of the
Sudler Trophy, considered the Heisman Trophy for college bands, and was
declared a "Landmark of American Music" by the Indiana Music Educators
