Shamrock Series Service Project

Where: Catholic Charities Diocese of Fort Worth

Project: The Notre Dame Alumni Association, in partnership with Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Ft. Worth, will sponsor a service project with the Assessment Center of Tarrant County. The Assessment Center is a 24 hour, 40-bed facility that provides a safe, nurturing, and temporary home for children (ages 0-17) placed in the care of Children’s Protective Services. CCFW collaborates with CPS to recommend appropriate placements for children. While at the Assessment Center, children receive medical, dental, psychological, educational, recreational, and psychiatric services in a healing environment.

Notre Dame alumni, parents and friends will help to refurbish the Assessment Center which will include inside painting, cleaning, outside yard work ,and provide a “makeover” for the children’s common and private space. If we have enough Volunteers we will also assist at the distribution and donation center.
