Pedal Cab in Action

Notre Dame has so much to offer fans on football weekends. From “Trumpets Under the Dome” in the Main Building, to pep rallies at various iconic locations on campus, to the Player Walk from the Gug to the Stadium, to the sightseeing across campus, there is something to see on nearly every square inch of Our Lady’s University. In an effort to help our fans enjoy everything offered on a Notre Dame Football weekend, courtesy carts and pedal cabs are available to fans on Football Fridays and Game Day Saturdays.

NOTE: Due to safety issues involving darkness and extreme pedestrian and vehicular traffic, the Campus Transportation initiative is not available after Notre Dame Football games.

Courtesy Cart Service

In order to allow all guests to experience all a game weekend has to offer, Game Day offers a fleet of golf carts available for one-way rides across campus. The carts will operate on the following schedule:

Friday Saturday
12:00 PM — 6:00 PM 10:00 AM — 3:00 PM

The courtesy carts operate as a flag-down service. If a guest is in need of the Courtesy Cart Service and is unable to flag one down, they are invited to approach a Guest Services Team (the green-jacketed ushers spread throughout campus). The Guest Services Team will contact a cart driver and help each guest reach their desired location!

Pedal Cab Service

Friday Saturday
3:00 PM — 6:00 PM 10:00 AM — 3:00 PM

Game Day partnered with the Office of Sustainability to bring human-powered pedal cabs to campus. The cabs, which can service two adults at a time, are operated by different student clubs from across campus. All proceeds from the service go toward the operator’s student club. For the 2014 season, the following clubs will be operating pedal cabs:

The Arnold Air Society Men’s and Women’s Boxing Cycling (2 Cabs) Women’s Water Polo

Look for the five green pedal cabs making their way around campus throughout football weekends!
