Lana Taylor was appointed an Officer Assistant in June 2016, working for Mike Seamon in the Office of Campus Safety and Event Management. She has been a part of Game Day Operations since 2000, previously working with Mike Danch in Athletics. Her responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day and budgetary operations of the office and coordinating logistics for Campus Safety and Game Day Operations events.
Beginning at the University in 1997, Lana worked with unrestricted funding in General Accounting. In 1999, she became the bookkeeper for all 26 varsity athletic teams and post-season events in the Athletics Business Office, working there until 2003.
From 2003 to 2010 she worked at the Warren Golf Course as Coordinator of Golf Services. She oversaw finances, inventory control, and assisted with tournament coordination. During the summer of 2010, Lana worked directly with the USGA onsite tournament director for the Women's Amateur Public Links (WAPL) Golf tournament. Her responsibilities included coordinating volunteers, managing the participant database, and as on-campus tournament management for participants from all over the country.
In 2011 she joined the Office of Campus Safety and Game Day Operations as the Senior Assistant working directly for Mike Seamon. She has been an integral part of the growth and development of the Office of Campus Safety and Game Day Operations and will continue to be an asset as her purview will also include Event Management responsibilities.
Lana earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and Management from Indiana University South Bend, graduating in 1996.
A native of South Bend, Lana resided in Niles, Michigan and has returned to South Bend where she grew up.
